Welcome to the fRAMily! Framingham State's Office of New Student and Family Programs provides guidance and support for incoming freshmen and transfer students starting the moment a student is accepted to the University. Join us for Accepted Students Days and Orientation to explore campus life and resources, and start making connections. The Office of New Student and Family Programs also administers placement testing for new students and helps students create course schedules that coincide with their personal and academic goals. Framingham State's unique First-Year Foundations course is required for all freshmen and aims to help new students balance all of the elements of college life: faculty expectations, policies, living away from home or commuting, and work responsibilities.

The University offers 36 undergraduate programs and 57 specialized concentrations in the arts, humanities, sciences, social sciences and professional fields.

FSU Difference
There are unique opportunities at Framingham State that you won’t find anywhere else in the Massachusetts State University System. FSU is home to a comprehensive museum with rotating professional exhibits and a large permanent collection. The University’s Christa McAuliffe Center for Integrated Science Learning features a state-of-the-art planetarium where students can explore the galaxies. And our Entrepreneur Innovation Center provides students with the opportunity to work directly with local innovators seeking to launch their business ideas.

Campus Life
FSU is home to around 90 student clubs covering a diverse range of interests, from the environment, to healthcare, dance, politics and more. The University has 14 NCAA Division III athletics programs, as well as intermural and athletic clubs.

Career Ready
The undergraduate college experience is a time for students to make lifelong friends and discover their passions, but the ultimate goal is to graduate fully prepared to start a dream career. No matter the major, the Career Services Office helps students land internships that provide them with real-world experience and professional contacts.

Entering college is a time characterized by many changes and challenges. Having a strong support system can make a significant difference in learning to navigate the ins and outs of this new environment. Whether a student is the first in his or her family to attend college, needs a tutor, or is looking for mentoring opportunities, FSU offers an array of success programs.

The Center for Academic Success and Achievement, or CASA, offers professional and peer tutoring, academic success coaching, and disability resources and accommodations to promote student learning and success. CASA is also home to GenerationOne, an affinity group for first-generation college students as well as several community outreach and mentorship programs. All CASA programs are free for current FSU students.
